Lisa Hudson, Manager,Dip. Vet Nurse.

I have a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and then 7 1/2 years experience in Vet Clinics in Wellington and Tauranga. I have done the Hills Nutritional Advisor program to Level 3 as well as many other related courses. While I was Vet Nursing instructed the Puppy Preschool Programme and attended 3 Veterinary Nursing Conferences. I attended the Wellington Canine Obedience club coming first in our beginners, J1 and J2 class. The clinic I worked at in Wellington combined conventional and complementary medicine and approached the animal care in an holistic way. I have experience and have attended courses on Nutrition, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy and Australian and Bach Flower essences, all of which I have used on animals. I have been running Absolutely Precious Paws since May 2000 when I saw the need for high quality care for pets, while their owners are away. In 2011 we opened our Doggy Day Care and Dog Boarding Hotel in Tauranga and took Dog Boarding in Tauranga to a new level. To have your dog playing all day and a full on schedule, walks off site, trips to the park and beach, microwave heat pads, internet cameras for you to watch in, suites with their own TV ,daily reports on the website, photos posted to Facebook and a resident Groomer & Vet Nurse & Trainer..not to mention a retail outlet specialising in funky products, raw food, flea and worm control and natural health remedies. I’m especially grateful to our loyal clients who use our service and recommend their friends. Your support enables us to not only donate to our local SPCA but provide a fun day out once a week for a dog that has been there long term.

Ella Flutey-Cert. Vet Nurse and Dog groomer

So, what would an animal owner want in their pet sitter and doggy day carer? A genuine and trustworthy animal lover who has experience and passion for pets and their wellbeing. Hi my name is Ella, you may have seen my face around Tauranga, spending two years working at Animates, then following my passion and studying the National Certificate in Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing in 2010. I am now working at a local Veterinary Clinic and the Absolutely Precious Paws Doggy Day Care and Boarding Facility at Glasgow street.Becoming a Veterinary Nurse has given me a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge in the treatment of any first aid/care and when a veterinarian is needed, which will mean you can leave your pets in my care knowing they will receive any required treatment. So you will return home to them happy and healthy.

Recently I completed a course in dog grooming so now I am also grooming at the Doggy Day Care, to ensure all of your buddies go home looking good and smelling great.

Throughout my life I have had pets, including horses, dogs, cats and even frogs (among various wild life rescues) this has given me huge amounts of experience in caring for various species and ensuring their health and wellbeing is maintained to the highest of standard. I have also rescued many unwanted kittens and puppies, re-homing them to homes where they will get the attention and love they deserve, so I am a strong advocate for de-sexing pets if they are not intended for breeding. All of our pets have been products of unwanted litters, and pets that owners can no longer look after to their full potential. Our family comprises of two cats, a horse and our newest addition, our puppy.

I am happiest when I am with animals, they give so much and expect so little. However, they really appreciate getting the love and attention of a pet sitter when their number one is away.

Sasha Paul-

Kiaora

My name is Sasha. I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the Coromandel where my Mother and I bred Chinese Silkie Bantams on a Native Bird Sanctuary.

My partner and I recently moved back to Tauranga from Melbourne with our 2 year old Chihuahua x Jack Russel terrier Malahcai. Having had experience in the fashion industry and since then, I have been working on a range of clothes for dogs, large or small i.e. hoodies, sweater vests, bomber jackets, overalls and hats. These should be available this coming Spring.

I have also just finished 2 papers, one in holistic communication and the other in trans- personal psychology. These have helped me tremendously with the dogs, helping me understand their moods and behavior. It has also enabled me to practice Reiki/rebalancing/harmonising on the dogs that need some special attention.

I look forward to meeting you and your dogs soon and if you need some special outfit or clotes for your dog, feel free to ask me about it.
