Thanks for your interest in working for Absolutely Precious Paws Ltd®
Hi, I'm Lisa Hudson and I started Absolutely Precious Paws Ltd® in May 2000 to give pet owners an alternative to taking their pets to Kennels and Catteries by providing a range of at home and personalised pet care services.
Absolutely Precious Paws Ltd® has subcontractors in Tauranga and Hamilton and Franchisees in Rotorua and Taupo, who have been operating for over 5 years.
Our client's pets are so much happier staying in their own homes, eating their usual food and following their normal routine. It is less stressful for the pet's "parents" also, as they don't have to fit around the boarding establishment's times and they don't have to take the car trip to get them there.
Absolutely Precious Paws needs reliable, dependable people who are able to see a project through to completion. Our clients rely on us to take care of their pets and home when they can't be there, so Pet Sitters need to take this job seriously, develop a relationship with both the pets and their owners and put in a long term effort to build up a profitable business.

Absolutely Precious Paws Ltd®
This is what one of our current Team members has to tell you
My name is Jenny Greener and I started working as a pet sitter and dog walker for Absolutely Precious Paws in July 2009. I service the Mount Maunganui and Papamoa areas.
I have been working within the animal industry in various fields since 2000 after I studied to achieve the National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. After I moved to the Bay of plenty in September 2009 I started to look for more work doing something that I knew I would enjoy.
I thoroughly enjoy the work that I have been doing. I look forward to each day and every single day is different from the last. I get to look after a lot of different and wonderful animals and meet some fantastic pet owners. It is also great to be able to build a bond with animals and owners with my regular clients.
It is a real pleasure being able to follow the animals' normal routine in their own home. It means the animals are usually more content and friendly.
Getting out and about and marketing the business is really good. You can do more and more if you want to increase your client base. The marketing methods really do work. Obviously the amount of new clients that you gain can fluctuate depending on the time of year and demand for services.
As a subcontractor it is a great opportunity to be able to manage your own work/area and have a little profitable business of your own. It is an extremely satisfying and rewarding career.
