Thank you everyone who liked our Absolutely Precious Paws Fan site on Facebook. The Tauranga SPCA received $419 from us, which goes a long way to helping feed all those hungry mouths there. Well done to you all. We have decided to continue with our promotion and make it a monthly donation, so any new people who like our page, will result in a $1 extra to the SPCA. Our Facebook page features daily photos of our Doggy Day Care and In- Home boarding dogs, interesting news articles from around the world, photos of the pets we are pet sitting in their homes, competitions, stories and discussions about what may have happened during our visits. Thinking of all the people and pets in Canterbury...
What a very sad and horrific ordeal the people and pets of Canterbury have been through. The whole country and the world are mourning the loss of lives and now many find themselves in difficult circumstances, perhaps without a home. The Canterbury SPCA have set up the Pet Emergency Earthquake Fund to help pets in the area. There are many ways you can donate, click on the picture to view.
Additionally on their website is a Pet Emergency Plan - with information about what you can do to prepare for a disaster.
What's new at Doggy Day Care and In Home Boarding
There are more dogs regularly joining us for the day or boarding overnight. The dogs parents now get a daily report about what happened during the day with pictures and a link to the Facebook page, where there are more pictures or video from the day. Some highlights from the last month or so is the new lush roll out grass being laid, lovely blue comfy leather couches ( they are flasher than our couches upstairs), a new tent tunnel, 3 new crates ( so you don't need to bring your own if your dog likes to sleep in a crate) and a swing ball..as well as numerous toys and balls which quickly loose their squeak and get chewed. I also have a huge bag of pigs ears that get bought out for some regular chewing. I really appreciate all the dogs belongings and food being named. There are some marker pens here to do it, if you are dropping them off. It also makes it a lot easier to return belongs. If you are missing anything, do let me know.The lost property bin has quite a few things in it. Thanks
